Saltburn-by-the-Sea

"Teddy's Nook" is a house built in 1862 by Henry Pease (MP) a director of the Stockton and Darlington Railway,[5] for his own occupation. Pease was responsible for the foundation of the seaside resort and the sturdy sandstone house was first named "The Cottage."[1] The following stories, whether fact or fiction is debatable, all relate to this house.

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College is one of the most highly rated colleges in England and has almost 2000 students, mostly aged 16?18. It offers around 40 full-time AS and A level courses, some vocational courses and GCSEs, as well as several part-time evening classes.

Darlington Memorial Hospital

The site also contains 'the Women's Centre' and a large portion of the offices for the health trust.

Darlington

This is a chart of trend of regional gross value added of Darlington at current basic prices published (pp. 240?253) by Office for National Statistics with figures in millions of British Pounds Sterling.

Heworth, Tyne and Wear

In the Graveyard at Heworth can be found The Haddon Tomb, also known as The Babes in the Bed an unusual memorial in the shape of a four poster bed. To three of the Haddon children William, George and their sister, whose name is now illegible. Local legend has it that the three children died in a fire when a candle fell onto their bed while they were sleeping. This is unlikely to have been the case as their deaths span a six years period between 1711 and 1717. It was built by their father, Joseph Haddon, a master mason, who died in 1721 aged 42 years.
