Self Drive Moving Tips - Loading and Unloading Safely

Self Drive Moving Tips - Loading and Unloading Safely Small moving still requires the process of packing, loading, transporting and unloading. You start by packing your things. All items must be boxed up to create an organized stacking on the truck. Boxes must be securely closed and tapped up. For a comfortable lifting weight, be sure that boxes must be in appropriate size. Items must fit inside those boxes except for large and heavy furniture.   Whether you are renting a truck or your own van, be sure to check the tires before driving. This is to avoid problems in changing wheels and other parts of the vehicle. Any problem on the road may cause you to waste some time. Inspection of the vehicle is also a pre-cautionary measure. It is important to do this before you start the engine.   Load the truck with your items starting from the heaviest boxes to the lighter storage unit. In case the vehicle has a parcel shelf, place light and small items here like toys, cushions and food. Large items that are fragile or heavy in weight must be strapped to the vehicle's wall to avoid crashing other items in the truck.   Ensure that you organize your things well when loading them into the vehicle. You maintain neatness and order to avoid stacking them up. Keep heavy items on the floor and set aside light ones on top of those boxes with heavy stuffs.   During the unloading of things, you must be careful in removing them out of the truck. Carry one box at a time unless small handy boxes can be topped with another box of the same size to save time. Place them in the room where they need to be placed so you can easily unpack them once everything is unloaded.   With an organized set up, you will surely and safely reach your destination without making a single scratch from any of your belongings.
