FairfordFairford is a small town in Gloucestershire, England. It lies in the Cotswolds on the River Coln, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) east of Cirencester, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) west of Lechlade, and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) north of Swindon. Close was the perpetual curate of the church for thirty years and a founder of two teacher training colleges which later became the University of Gloucestershire. He moved on to become Dean of Carlisle in 1856.Cheltenham Town HallThe site chosen was part of Imperial Square. The building was designed by Gloucester architect Frederick William Waller and built by the Cheltenham firm of Collins and Godfrey. The total cost of the building, including internal decoration, fixtures and fittings, was around £45,000.
