Places of interest in Dymock, GL18
Newent is home to the National Birds of Prey Centre, located just east of the neighbouring village of Cliffords Mesne, a vineyard (The Three Choirs), and is at the centre of the Golden Triangle, so called because of the preponderance of daffodils in the surrounding area.
Dymock was served by the Hereford & Gloucester Canal, opened in 1845; this closed in 1881 and the section between Ledbury and Gloucester converted into a railway line, a branch line of the Great Western Railway, though a stretch between Dymock and Newent was by-passed as it was decided not to take the line through the 2,192 yard Oxenhall Tunnel. Dymock had a station on this line. The line closed in 1959, but the canal (including the tunnel), is now being restored.

Kingsholm is well known amongst rugby union fans for its partisan supporters and its intimidating atmosphere, and is widely regarded as a superb venue for rugby. Kingsholm was used as a home stadium for England before they settled at Twickenham and also hosted New Zealand versus United States for a pool match in the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
The Kings Walk Shopping Centre includes retailers such as HMV, WH Smith, River Island and Game. The Mall, located primarily alongside Eastgate street, boasts several small independent shops as well as larger chains such as H&M. Attached to The Mall is the still functioning indoor market, opened in the late 1960s. A portion of the old market is still visible.[6] Outside of the shopping centres are many other outlets including a large Debenhams, Waterstones, BHS and Argos. Three major coffee shops ( Costa, Starbucks and Nero ) and several restaurants and cafes are also present. Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre, within easy walking distance of the city centre, opened in May 2009 selling brand name goods at reduced prices. This was built adjacent to the Peel centre complex which includes a Toys 'R' Us and a Hobbycraft outlet as well as a cinema. Nearby is a new Sainburys superstore.
